While acknowledging the historical atelier-based, fine art approach, study in this area builds on and respects the traditional, as well as providing opportunities to explore contemporary approaches. Learners are given the chance to develop their own fine art practice that draws upon their chosen references, applications and techniques, historical, traditional and contemporary sources, and allows them to craft a space in which to inhabit fine art today.
